During the press interview after the game, our new Technical Director Ertuğrul Sağlam said he was pleased to start the season without any loss of points.

Ertuğrul Sağlam made these additional comments regarding the game:
"We kicked off the new season without any loss of points. We are pleased to get 3 points with a promising performance. However we wasted a lot of good scoring chances. We were not successful on finishing touches which we have to work on. Since we couldn’t put the game away with an insurance goal, we faced difficult times at the end of the game. Besides, Konyaspor is a well-organized team. Therefore these 3 points is very valuable for us. I congratulate my players on their high level performance which made all of us quite happy.” 
We have to forget about this game as fast as we can because we have a crucial game coming up this week. From now on, we must concentrate solely on our Champions League qualifying game against F.C. Zurich scheduled for mid-week. 
Naturally, we made some mistakes during the game. We have to correct them in the following weeks. Our physical condition is getting better every other week. I am pleased with our overall performance at this stage.
