Turkish international goalkeeper Hakan Arıkan has signed a 3 year contract with Beşiktaş before the press.
The signing ceremony took place at Beşiktaş Nevzat Demir Facilities and was attented by the Head of Football Branch, Celalettin Kolot and the Board Member in Charge of Investments İlhan Durusoy. The young keeper Hakan Arıkan has put his signature under a contract that tied him to our colors for the next there year in front of media members.Emphasizing that the the signing of Hakan Arıkan was a part of rejuveniation operation started last year, Mr. İlhan Durusoy added: ‘‘ Hakan is a young and promising keeper who also plays for the national team. We have no doubt that he will be a valuable assset to our Team. Meanwhile, we would like thank to Ankaraspor for helping us to make this transfer possible. Within the context our agreement we are sending our keper Ramazan to them together with 700 thousand EURO transfer money. Hakan will receive 450 thousand YTL guaranteed fee annually from us with an additional 13 thousand YTL for each game he plays.’’
Mr. Celalettin Kolot, on the other hand, compared him to our legendary keper Sabri Dino and said: ‘‘I hope, he will be with us until the end of his career like Sabri Dino. He played a solid game against Brasil’s national team the other day’’
Kolot also included that although Media had been mentioning a lot of names as potential transfers to Beşiktaş, they had no new development at this stage. Asked about the situation of Runje, he said: ‘‘we have no intention of letting Runje go and I am sure he feels the same way.’’
HAKAN: '' I DIDN’T COME HERE TO SIT ON THE BENCH.''
Beşiktaş’ın new keeper Hakan Arıkan stated that his only intention was to put Black & White jersey on without any loss of time: ‘I am quite happy to be part of Turkey's largest and best football community ever. First of all I want to have good season here next year. At the same time, I want to see our club win the championship title. No doubt, it will be a hard act to follow but we can make it happen if play as an ambitionus team hungry for the title. I never go to a team to sit on the bench. I want to play 90 minutes. I will work hard to put on that starting jersey.’’
Reminding us that he had a very successful season at Ankaraspor last season, young keeper continued: ‘‘Since I played well past season, I was expecting a transfer offer.And when I heard the name of Beşiktaş, it increased my pleasure one fold. Who wouldn't want to play for this great team? I plan to stay for the rest of my career and play many seasons. It will be a difficult season because we desire to become the new champion. For this reason I must be ready and in good shape at all times.’’
