Our visiting Football Team grabbed a 1-0 crucial victory over Sivasspor in the 30th week of Turkcell Super League. Reserved player İbrahim Akın scored a 92nd minute golden goal that reduced the point difference with league leading Fenerbahçe to only 2 points with a critical derby coming up between the two teams at this weekend.
The game played in Sivas September 4 Stadium and refereed by Cem Deda in front of a full house. Despite of an unusually cold and rainy weather, our loyal fans coming from surrounding cities did not leave their favorite team alone and provided wholehearted and loud support for Black& Whites throughout the game. The early minutes of the first half staged a typical mid field struggle as players from both sides had difficulty controlling the ball due to wet ground. While our Team tired to organize attacks with carefully selected passes in order not to cause sudden turnovers, host Sivasspor preferred to rely on long balls throne behind our defense.
Ali Tandoğan replaced injured Mustafa Doğan in the 31st minute and the first in which neither side was able to create any serious scoring chance eneded in a 0-0 tie.
Teams started the second half without making any substitution but later on Beşiktaş’s two forward players, İbrahim Akın (67th min.) and Gökhan Güleç (84th min.) came into the game for Nobre and Burak Yılmaz to provide additional scoring power. An 84th minute free-kick of Ricardinho which hit the post was eventually followed by the long awaited goal of Black & Whites. During the final minute of additional time İbrahim Akın after a long chase buried Ricardinho's perfect pass into home side's net and gave Beşiktaş a 1-0 lead for good.
