Our Technical Director Jean Tigana made these comments following our 1-0 victory in the first leg of Fortis Turkish Cup Semifinal against traditional İstanbul rival Fenerbahçe:

‘‘There were 2 good teams on the field. The game was tightened most of the time. We succeeded in closing the area against their attacks. The game had a true European quality. Everybody in the team performed his duty.  We have a 1-0 advantage but we must aim at scoring at least a goal in the second leg to secure the Final. But now we must forget about this game and concentrate on our next League game against Sakaryaspor.’’
