Thanks to the 82nd minute goal by Bobo, our Football have gained a 1-0 semifinal advantage against Fenerbahçe at the first leg of the Fortis Turkish Cup.

Before the start of this semifinal’s first leg our Board Members welcomed Fenerbahçe directors with flowers at the front door and our fans that filled the stands of BJK İnönü Stadium completely supported their team gentlemanly throughout the game. During the singing of our National Anthem fans also displayed a giant red banner which read ‘‘Republic of Turkey’’.
During the early part of the game refereed by Fırat Aydınus Beşiktaş tried to control the play against long-ball attacks of visiting Fenerbahçe who mostly preferred to stay in defense. As a result of illegal tackles at mid-field, yellow&dark blue team succeeded in stopping Beşiktaş's attacks before they reached wings and posed any serious danger. Nevertheless, Black & Whites tried their own luck with two threatening shots by Delgodo in the 23th  and 24th minutes that went just wide. Beşiktaş eventually raised the tempo of the game and increased the density of its attacks. In the 37th minute, Nobre wasted a golden opportunity when he couldn't find the open net during a one-on-one situation against visitor's goalie. The first half was concluded in a 0-0 tie with neither team scoring.
Black & Whites started the second half with a compulsory substitution when injured Mustafa Doğan, was replaced by Ali Tandoğan. Thanks to the elevated rhythm of its attacks, our Team came close to scoring once again in the 56th minute. The hard shot of Argentinian Delgado taken inside the penalty zone was barely saved by Fenerbahçe goalie. And then our Brazilian Bobo entered the game in the 62th minute for Burak Yılmaz. Beşiktaş reached its long-awaited goal 8 minutes from time. Taking a brilliant pass from Nobre, Delgado carried the ball nearly half a field into 18 yard-line before crossing it to Bobo who was ready and waiting near the penalty area. Our Brazilian Striker Bobo would not waste his golden opportunity to score and sent the ball into Fenerbahçe’s net with a perfect low drive that put Black & Whites 1-0 in front for good. Since remaining minutes did not produce an additional goal, Black & Whites managed to attain a 1-0 advantage for the second leg of the semifinal to be played within two weeks time.
