Following the victory against Gençlerbirliği our Head of Football Branch, Celal Kolot and players Serdar Kurtuluş, Mustafa Doğan, Delgado and Mert Nobre made these comments:

Celal Kolot: ‘‘It was much easier than we expected. All this happened as a result of our Technical Director’s game plan. He must have studied his opponent really well because Gençlerbirliği is actually a strong side. I believe our preventive measures taken in advance reduced their effectiveness.’’
Serdar Kurtuluş: ‘‘We were expecting a tough game and we put up a strong fight throughout the game. The condition of the pitch created difficulties for both teams. After attaining a 2-0 advantage we slowed the game down in order to keep it under our own control. I am quite happy that we are returning with 3 points from this difficult away game. Our management and players wholeheartedly believe in finishing first at the end of the season. We come out to win our every game. I think we have a fixture advantage compared to others. I hope Fenerbahçe loses some points until we play each other. Meanwhile, we must win all of our games for getting the championship at the end of this season.’’ 
Mustafa Doğan: ‘‘I got injured from last week’s same spot. I sustained a sudden stretch and pain in my knee so I couldn't continue. I was really strong before and during the game. I feel sad about my injury and leaving our team alone. I awe a lot to our Technical Director who encouraged me all along for getting back to team but these things happen in football.’’
Matias Delgado: ‘‘We played an ambitious football in the first half. Once we went 2-0 ahead, we pulled back and defended our advantage without giving them any serious chance to score. Our main objective was to keep the ball under our own control and avoid making mistakes especially in defense. As far as my performance is considered, I think, I am improving every other game. I am trying to fulfill my coach's requests on the field. I am also getting to know Turkey much better which is affecting my play positively in return.’’
Mert Nobre: ‘‘It was a decent chance and I took advantage of it. We have a lot of games to play in front of us and nothing is certain yet. I hope we maintain this high level performance and finished on top at season’s end. I am always ready for the Turkish National Team. Every player dreams about taking place in the national team. After attain the championship with Beşiktaş, if I get invited to national team, it will be like having a second child for me.’’
