Beşiktaş Wheeled Chaired Basketball Team faced Antalya Büyükşehir Belediyesi in the first game of the second half at BJK Süleyman Seba Sports Saloon. Beşiktaş outscored its opponent with a score of 88-30.
Making a fast start into the game, Black & Whites immediately controlled and guaranteed the game’s score through early baskets scored in a row. While the effective defense of Beşiktaş denied Antalya Representative easy access to scoring, baskets by Kaan Dalay and Mehmet Arpak under opponent’s rim extended the deficit in favor of the home side to double digits. Entering into the last minute with a 18-7 advantage, Black & Whites enjoyed a 25-11 commanding lead at the end of the first period.Beşiktaş dominated the second period as well. Not showing the face of the rim to visiting line up for a long time, the Black & White Team sustained a 16-0 run during the first 5 minutes. Antalya team scored it its first point in the 6th minute from a free throw. During the ensuing minutes Beşiktaş widened the gap between the two teams even more and entered the last two minutes of the first half with a lopsided score of 43-18 thanks to the scoring contribution of Bülent who secured the game for the home side. Our Team was leading 45-18 at the half.
Beşiktaş's impressive performance continued throughout the second half and visitors, once again could not overcome the sound defense of their hosts and score a single point during the first 5 points. As an outcome of this one-sided show the deficit between the two teams increased to 40 points at point. Not changing their aggressive defense and fast attack tactic Black & Whites attained a 41 points superiority going into the final quarter (62-41).
While visitors lost their game discipline and gave up the game completely during the final quarter of the game, the productive and solid performance by Black & Whites increased the deficit over Antalya Büyükşehir Belediyesi who was unable to respond to 58 points at the end of the game (88-30) and started the second part of the season with a win.
