Thanks to Delgado's 84th minute goal, visiting Beşiktaş Professional Football Team posted a hard fought 1-0 victory over Ankaragücü and pocketed valuable 3 points in the 24th week of the Turkcell Super League.

Despite making a fast start into the game, Black & Whites had a hard time in creating scoring chances in front of Ankaragücü goal throughout first half. Home team tested its own chances with shots taken from long range but Beşiktaş’s Croatian goal keeper Vedran Runje successfully stopped all of the. First half ended in a 0-0 tie with neither team scoring.
During the second half Ankaragücü found two crucial chances with Beppe and Tita but   Vedran Runje continued his brilliant performance of recent weeks and would not let them score. Beşiktaş’s attacks were more effective in the second half and Black & Whites looked much better organized compared to their first 45 minutes of play. As a result Beşiktaş reached to its precious goal in the 84th minute of the game. After receiving a perfect pass from Bobo thrown behind Ankaragücü defense, Delgado deluded the opponent’s defense and goalie and made the score 1-0 for Beşiktaş.       
Since there was no other goal during the remaining minutes, Black & Whites completed the game with a 1-0 victory that gave them a total of 42 points and sole control of second place in their ongoing pursuit of championship race. It was also the first away win of Beşiktaş after a drought of nearly 7 games.
