Our visiting Football Team lost 2-0 to Vestel Manisaspor in the replay of its Fortis Turkish Cup quarter final game. With this result Black & Whites who won the first game 4-0 in Istanbul reached to the seminal of Fortis Turkish Cup.

The replay in Manisa was played in front of empty stands due to Vestel’s penalty and refereed by Özgüç Türkalp. Relying on its 4-0 previous score advantage, Beşiktaş tried to slow and control the game while its opponent preferred an attacking football to erase this deficit. As a result, Holosko gave a 1-0 lead to home side in the 35th minute and the first half was completed with this score.
During the second half, Sezer made the score to 2-0 in favor of Vestel Manisaspor in the 54th minute of the game. Right after this goal Fahri Tatan and Mert Nobre entered the game for Serdar Kurtuluş and Gökhan Güleç. Uğur from Vestel Manisaspor handled Nobre's header right on the goal line and while he was ejected from the game with a red card, a penalty decision was awarded to Beşiktaş. However, goal keeper Bülent saved the penalty shot taken by Ricardinho and the same Ricardinho was replaced by Mehmet Sedef in the 72nd minute. Since both teams could not change the score during the remaining time, the game ended with 2-0 superiority of the home side. After having won the first leg 4-0, Our Black & Whites advanced to the semifinal of Fortis Turkish Cup.
