Beşiktaş Cola Turka: 91- Ceyhan Belediyesi:79

Beşiktaş Cola Women’s Basketball Team recorded a 91-79 victory over visiting Ceyhan Belediyesi in the 17th week of TBBL at BJK Akatlar Sports and Culture Complex.

Black & Whites started the game with a first five consisting of Sariye Gökçe, Lovelace, Yasemin Horasan, Esra Erden and Sheri Sam and posted the first basket of the game with Yasemin Horasan under the opponent's rim. Both teams exchanged baskets during the early part of the game and the score was leveled in the 8th minute (12-12). The visiting team eventually displayed a much more effective performance around the painted area and thanks to its well organized fast breaks finished the first period 22-19 in the lead.
Ceyhan Belediyesi tried to extend its lead but baskets by Black & Whites’ forwards kept the game in check. Starting from the 14th minute Beşiktaş Cola Turka reduced the deficit and regained the lead. During this period, while baskets by Lovelace sustained the home side’s score advantage, visiting Ceyhan Belediyesi responded her with 3 point shots. After a slow start, Black & Whites made its authority felt and went to locker room 50-47 in the front.
In the early part of the third period, Ceyhan Belediyesi reduced deficit to a single point but strong defensive performance of Our Ladies would not permit the visiting team to take the lead. While Beşiktaş managed to sustain a 62-51advantage in the 25th minute, trailing Ceyhan Belediyesi staged a productive come back that reduced the margin to 4 points. However at the end of the third period Beşiktaş Cola Turka was still leading with a score of 69-62.
During a well contested fourth period, Esra Erden had the final say. Her well timed and critical 3 pointers brought the game to Black & Whites who edged their opponents with a final score of 91-79.
