During the press meeting following the game, Beşiktaş Technical Director Jean Tigana has made these comments regarding the Trabzonspor game:

‘' We really feel upset about the result. The addition of Ersen Martin in the second half was a decisive factor in our loss. During the first 15 minutes of this half everything turned upside down for us. We made some critical errors in our defensive positioning that cost us the game.
We seem to be letting the other teams to score against us much more easily in our away games. Our defensive line is having trouble to stand on its own feet in these games. Our midfield is also not showing sufficient resistance. We are trying to solve these problems.
Now we have a cup game coming up against Vestel Manisaspor. Then we will play an important derby game with Galatasaray. We have to regroup and get ready for these games as soon as possible. We must play a kind of game we staged in the first half.’’
