Beşiktaş Cola Turka Men’s Basketball Team lost to Efes Pilsen 60-59 with a last second 3 pointer in the 19th week of the Beko Basketball League.

Both teams staged a head to head performance through out the first period and host team took a 2 point lead at the end (18-16). The tempo of the game did not change in the second period. At one point Efes Pilsen tried to widen its lead but baskets by Beşiktaş Cola Turka kept the score close. While Efes led 28-26 in the final 30 seconds, a 3 point shot behind the arch by Barış Özcan put Black and Whites 29-28 in front at the half. The balanced scoring continued in the third period and Beşiktaş maintained its lead in the first 5 minutes. However in the 25th minute of the game Efes came back and leveled the score. Although they had difficulty to overcome the effective defense of home team, Black and Whites took advantage of Efes’s turnovers and regained the lead. The successful shots by Barış Özcan kept the score in favor of Beşiktaş Cola Turka who finished the period 46-44 in the lead in spite of Efes’s 4 points during the last 30 seconds.
During the first 5 minutes of the final period Black and Whites managed to hold on to their scoring superiority but 2 well timed back to back 3 pointers by Efes, changed the score and put home team in the front once again. Thanks to the 3 pointers by Barış Özcan and Barış Güney, Beşiktaş Cola Turka was able to regain the lead but a last second 3 point shot of Jenkins gave the game to Efes Pilsen for good (60-59).
