Beşiktaş Cola Turka:91 Tarsus Belediyesi:68

Beşiktaş Cola Turka Women’s Basketball Team recorded a 91-68 victory over visiting Tarsus Belediye at BJK Akatlar Sports and Culture Complex in the 13th week of league.

Making a fast start into the game, Our Black&Whites gained an early lead thanks to the baskets by Braxton. Registering a 6-0 run during the first three minutes, our Ladies increased the deficit in their favor with the additional baskets of Tuğba Palazoğlu. As a result of this fast and effective performance by Beşiktaş Cola Turka, the visiting team was able to score its first points only after 5 minutes into the game. Entering into the last minute with a 10 point advantage, Black& Whites closed the period 31-15 in front due to an aggressive and efficient defensive play.   
With the start of second period, Beşiktaş Cola Turka became more productive offensively and found consecutive baskets under its opponent’s rim. The gap between the two teams were widened to 20 points in the 12th minute of the game (37-17).Under the leadership of Lovelace which was backed by the extra points of Yasemin Horasan and Esmeral, Black& Whites boosted the deficit even more. At the end of the first half Beşiktaş had a commanding lead of 24 points (63-29).
In the early part of the third period, our Ladies sustained their nearly perfect performance and Yasemin Horasan raised the difference to 29 points in the 25th minute (75-46). From that point on, the visiting team started to take advantage of the over-confident showing of Beşiktaş Cola Turka and started to score back to back baskets to reduce the deficit. Despite of having difficulty offensively, our team finished the third period 79-53 in front.   
Black&Whites started the final quarter with Esmeral’s consecutive points scored in a row. After period in which both teams exchanged baskets, Beşiktaş tried to protect its lead but the visiting Tarsus Belediyesi did not forgive our Ladies’ defensive errors committed under their own rim. However, two minutes left in the game the deficit was 23 points and it was too late for the visiting line up to get back into the game. Since they also could not score any other basket during the remaining time, our ladies won the game with a score of 91-68 in their favor.
The top scorer of the game for Beşiktaş Cola Turka was Yasemin Horasan with 16 points. She was followed by Esmeral Tunçluer (13), Stacey Lovelace (12), Kara Braxton (9), Sheri Sam (9), Nazlı Güler (8), Esra Erden (8), Lara Mandiç (5), Tuğba Palazoğlu (5), Seda Erdoğan (4), and Aysun Akova (2).
