Beşiktaş Cola Turka Men’s Basketball Team grabbed a valuable victory over Oyak Renault in a hard fought game played in Bursa and made a good start into the second half of the season.

Oyak Renault was more effective during the early minutes of the game which started with both teams exchanging baskets. Despite of having a 20-12 advantage at the end of the first period, home side had real difficulty in stopping Reese and McFarlin of Beşiktaş Cola Turka in the second period. As an outcome, the deficit was reduced to 4 points at the 17th minute (31-27). However, Bursa representative succeeded in opening the score gap once again thanks to baskets by Evren and Altan and went to locker room leading 40-29 at the end of the first half.
Oyak Renault again made a fast start into the second half but the pressure of Black&White team slowed them down. As a result of Reese and Arda’s effective play Beşiktaş eventually closed the gap with consecutive points and took the lead at the end of the third period (55-51).
Starting the final period with an effective offensive performance, Beşiktaş Cola Turka gradually increased its advantage with points scored under the rim. Oyak Renault made a last attempt to get back into the game and was able to reduce the difference to 4 points in the 35th minute. However Black&Whites continued to find baskets under the rim and back to back dunks by Harvey gave Beşiktaş Cola Turka a 68-60 lead 3.5 minutes left to play. With the addition of Barış Güney Black&White team felt more comfortable during remaining minutes and by winning the game 79-63 made a good start into the second half of the season.
