Beşiktaş Cola Turka Men’s Basketball Team posted a valuable 82-79 victory over Banvit thanks to a splendid last second 3 pointer of Jamel Thomas in a game played at Akatlar.

As a result of an effective play under the rims Black&Whites found consecutive baskets in the early minutes and grabbed a 6-0 lead in the 2nd minute. However, during ensuing moments Banvit’s two 3 pointers canceled the deficit. The visiting side continued to hit from behind the arch and took back the lead in the 6th minute (13-14). After a head to head struggle, both teams entered the final 2 minute with a tie score (18-18) but Beşiktaş Cola Turka added 5 extra points during this time and completed the period 23-22 in the front.

While the critical baskets exchanged in the second period kept the excitement of the game at a high level, Beşiktaş Cola Turka took a point lead in the 15th minute. This one point lead of Black&Whites remained same throughout the period until the last minute basket of Radosevic which gave the lead to Banvit and made the score 37-36 for the visiting team at the end of the first of half.

In the first 4 minutes of the third period both teams scored consecutive points and took back the lead in order without missing their scoring attempts. However during the 25th minute of the game Beşiktaş made its first turnover of the second half and Banvit immediately made the score (49-44) in its favor. Nevertheless Black&Whites reduced the gap to 2 points with Thomas’s 3 pointer and registered 5 needed points with Reese in the final minute which gave the lead back to Beşiktaş once again (57-56). However, the last seconds foul throws of Banvit were successful and Bandırma representative gained a one point advantage at the end of a closely fought period.

During the final period, Banvit responded the points of our Thomas and Reese with Perry who maintained the visiting side's lead but Jamel Thomas scored a 3 pointer shot way behind the arch and kept Beşiktaş Cola Turka in the game. Banvit had a 75-74 lead in the final minute and 3.7 seconds left in the game the score was tied (79-79). When every was expecting an over-time, Jamel Thomas took the ball and made a perfect shot from mid-field that gave the game to Beşiktaş Cola Turka with a score of 82-79.
