Our Football Team lost 4-0 against Werder Bremen in the opening game of Efes Pilsen Cup 6 Tournament organized in Antalya City.

Continuing its preparations for the second half of Turkcell Super League in Antalya, Our Football Team faced strong German representative Werder Bremen in the opening game of Efes Pilsen Cup 6 Football Tournament.
Our fans gave their full hearted support to Black&Whites with their continuous cheering starting from the first minutes of the game. During the early parts of the first half Werder Brement tried to impose pressure with its high tempo but Beşiktaş was able to balance the game after the 15th minute and did not give away any scoring opportunity to the German Side. While the game staged a typical mid-field struggle, Werder Bremen took the lead in the 43rd minute with Almeida’s goal (1-0) and first half ended with this score.
In the 47th minute of the game, Klose made it 2-0 for Werder Bremen at a position in which most of our defense expected an offside call. After this goal Black&Whites looked more offensive and created some serious scoring chances with İbrahim Akın and Gökhan Güleç. However, while German side brought the score to 3-0 with Naldo in the 71st minute, the first goal scorer Almedia made it 4-0 for Werder Bremen in the 79th minute and the game ended with this score. Our Black&Whites will play against the loser of Galatasaray- Feyenoord game for the 3rd place on Wednesday evening.
