Beşiktaş Cola Turka Women’s Basketball Team recorded a 76-55 victory over visiting TED Kayseri Koleji in the 10th week of TBBL.

Starting the game played in BJK Akatlar Sports and Culture Complex with a first five consisting of Sheri Sam, Lovelace, Tuğba Palazoğlu, Yasemin Horasan and Esmeral Tunçluer, our team registered the first points of the period. The early minutes staged a steady exchange of baskets by both sides while representative from Kayseri City looked more effective. Despite of entering the last minute 15-12 in front, our rivals could not stop the last 40 seconds rally of Black&Whites. Closing the deficit with back to back baskets, trailing Beşiktaş Cola Turka Women’s Basketball Team eventually took the lead at the end of the period with a score of 17-15.   
Our Ladies staged a superior performance in the second period and addition of Kara Braxton and Esra Erden from the bench increased the pace of the game. As a result Black&Whites started to widen their lead with baskets under the rim but had to cope with the high percentage outside shots of their opponent. The effective behind the arch shots of visitors prevented the increase in point difference and TED Kayseri reduced the deficit to 3 points in the last 1.5 minutes of the period (30-27). In spite of attaining a tie at one point, visiting team’s defensive errors allowed our team to take the lead back again at the end of the first half with a score of 35-32.
Entering the second half with a similar fast pace of previous period, Beşiktaş Cola Turka eventually raised its effectiveness and took control of the game against a weakened resistance of its opponent. The baskets of Sheri Sam and Lovelace enabled Black&Whites to open up the point deficit in their favor while the TED Kayseri was unable to respond as a result of Beşiktaş's convincing defensive play. Our Beşiktaş Cola Turka Women’s Basketball Team, grabbed a commanding 13 points advantage at the end of this quarter 55-42 thanks to a much better performance than first half.
Gaining confidence from the scoreboard our Ladies began to guarantee the victory in the final period of the game. While Our Ladies extended their lead to 20 points in the 37th minute of the game (68-48), their superior performance was appreciated by the supporters. Not giving away any easy basket chance to TED Kayseri and stopping its opponent's scoring attempts competently, Our Beşiktaş Cola Turka won the game as a result of its strong performance in the second half with a score of 76-55.
Meanwhile, American Kara Braxton who came to Istanbul in midweek and played her first game under the Black& White Jersey, staged a brilliant game with a score of 15 points that assumed a important role in our win.
