Beşiktaş Football Team defeated visiting Çaykur Rizespor 3-1 in the Group D match of Fortis Turkish Cup. With this win, it raised its points to six and gained the leadership of its division.
Dominating the game from stant Black&Whites went ahead 1-0 on the 14th minute with İbrahim Üzülmez goal who directed the brilliant pass of Ricardinho into the visiting team’s net. Nearly 4 minutes after this goal, Baki Mercimek flicked Ricardinho’s corner kick behind to open Bobo and Boba easily registered Beşiktaş’s second goal 2-0 which was the final score of first half.Beşiktaş made a fast entry into the second half but Çaykur Rizespor pulled one goal back thanks to Erhan Albayrak during visiting side’s first serious attempt 2-1 in the 59th minute of the game. However in the 68th minute Mert Nobre took the center stage and after cleverly passing his opponent in the 18 yard line made the score 3-1 for Black & Whites with a perfect shot. Beşiktaş searched for its fourth goal but was unable to convert its scoring chances. The game ended with 3-1 superiority of Black & Whites.
After the previous 5-1 win over Bucaspor today’s 3-1 victory against Çaykur Rizespor, raised Beşiktaş’s total points to 6 and gave it the leadership of its group with a goal average in front of runner up Ankaragücü.
