Beşiktaş Football Team lost its final game in Group B of UEFA Cup to Bayer Leverkusen  with a score of 2-1 and got eliminated from the Cup. The goal of Our Black&Whites was scored by Ricardinho in the 90+1 minute.

During the early minutes of the game, Bayer Leverkusen created effective scoring chances with Barberez and Voronin. Beşiktaş goalkeeper Vedran Runje stopped these attacks with brilliant saves. After the 20th minute, Beşiktaş was able to balance the game but first half ended in a 0-0 tie.
 
Vedran Runje continued his successful saves during the second half as well. However home side was awarded a penalty shot in the 76th minute by Italian referee Paperasta who claimed Baki Mercimek pulled down the opposing player in front of Beşiktaş Goal during a Bayer Attack. Although Runje saved the penalty shot of in the 77th minute Babiç, Schneider sent the rebound into Beşiktaş net and put Bayer Leverkusen 1-0 ahead. Barbatez added another to this score in the 86th minute that gave the Germen team a 2-0 lead. In the closing stages of the game Ali Tandoğan was brought down inside the 18 yard line and this time Beşiktaş won a penalty shot which was successfully converted by Ricardinho in the 90+1 minute of the game (2-1).However this goal was enough for Black&Whites who lost this game (2-1).  .
With this result Beşiktaş finished its group matches in the 4th place with 3 points and got eliminated from the UEFA Cup.
