Beşiktaş Women’s Volleyball Team posted a 3-1 victory over visiting Galatasaray in BJK Akatlar Sport and Culture Comlex at the second week of first stage games.
The first minutes of the game staged points by both teams and neither team was able to change the game to its favor. While visiting Galatasaray won the first technical timeout, Beşiktaş took back the second one. However near to the end of set our Ladies gained control of the game and thanks to Eda’s successful performance stared to open up the point difference between to teams in their favor. Despite of simple errors from time to time they won the first 25-22 and took a 1-0 lead.Although Galatasaray looked more aggressive in the early part of the second set, consecutive points by Beşiktaş reduced the visiting lineup’s effectiveness. Trying to respond to the points of our Eda and Yeliz with Burçin and Berrin duo, the Yellow and Reds were unable to overcome their defensive errors. Entering the second technical timeout with 3 points advantage, our Black&Whites gave away back to back points to its opponent when the score was 20-17 in their favor and Galatasaray closed the point gap and took the lead. As a result of simple errors, Beşiktaş lost its favorable advantage and Galatasaray won the set 26-24 that leveled the game at one set each (1-1).
Our Black&Whites completely dominated the third set. A last effort by Galatasaray tied the score at one point but effective spikes from corners by Chmil and Bailukova relived Beşiktaş. Our Ladies regained the superiority of the game and wrapped the period with a leading score of 25-20 (2-1).
The excellent overall performance of Black&Whites at the beginning of the fourth set sealed the victory for Beşiktaş. They completed the both technical times in the lead and prevented visiting Galatasaray to find any points with effective defensive blocks. Unable to respond to our powerful spikes Galatasaray was routed out by Beşiktaş’s Ladies in the set with a score of 25-14 that gave the game to our Black&Whites (3-1).
