Beşiktaş Cola Turka Men’s Basketball Team defeated Alpella with a score of 80-79 in over time at 9th week of the basketball league. 

Starting the game with an effective performance Beşiktaş Cola Turka did not give up any points to its opponent during the first 4 minutes and thanks to Ostojic and Erkan’s points took an 11-0 early lead. The trailing home team later on responded with the baskets of Withers and Caner and tried to reduce the gap between to teams. Despite of a slowing down at some point our Black&Whites nevertheless regained their superiority and closed the first period 19-9 in front.
 Beşiktaş Cola Turka continued to play well in the second period and opened up a 13 point difference with Erkan’s points in the 14 the minute of the game (26-13). Black & Whites wrapped up the first half with an advantageous score of 35-25 regardless of home sides baskets by Strickland, Caner and Ömer.  
Compared to first half showing much more resistant and better organized effort, Alpella  took control of the game in the third period and reduced the gap to 3 points with Can’s last seconds 3 point basket at the end of the period (50-47).
Black&Whites started the final period with a powerful offensive showing and increased their advantage back to 10 points again in the 32nd minute of the game by baskets from Barış, Reese and Ostojic (57-47).However, Alpella thanks to Caner's consecutive points found  its rhythm  back and balanced the game in the middle of the period. During the final minutes of the game, both teams exchanged baskets and the excitement reached to its limits. When Caner successfully converted his 2 free throws in the final 7 seconds the score was level at 71-71 and the game went into over time.  
During the early part of the over time while Beşiktaş panicked lost its game discipline, Alpella took advantage of this situation and maintained its lead with an impressive play until the last 3 seconds of the over time period (79-78). However under the rim basket of our superstar Reese gave back the lead to Beşiktaş Cola Turka who sealed a 80-79 thrilling victory over the home team Alpella.
