Beşiktaş Cola Turka:74 Anwil Wloclawek:61

Hosting the Polish representative Anvil Wloclawek at Akatlar Sports and Culture Complex, Beşiktaş Cola Turka grabbed a valuable 74-61 triumph over its opponent in the 4th game of the ULEB Cup.

Starting the game with a first five consisting Reese, Brooks Sales, Cevher Özer, Erkan Veyseloğlu and Jamel Thomas Beşiktaş Cola Turka Men’s Basketball came empty handed from its first 4 attacks during the early minutes of the game. Visiting Polish side took advantage of this situation and scored back to back points from their ensuing attacks. However our Black & whites team got organized and after reducing the point difference took back the lead with consecutive baskets. Exchanging baskets after the 5th minute of the game the three-point shots by Arda Vekiloğlu kept Beşiktaş Cola Turka in the game and avoided them from falling behind. Entering the last minute 24-21 in the lead with Reese’s three-pointer our Team closed the first period with a leading score of 26-22 thanks to last split second basket from the same player.
Starting the second period with points scored in a row visiting Anwil closed the 4 point gap and went in front again. Performing well defensively and successfully stopping our scoring attempts the Polish side was leading 29-23 at the 13th minute of the game. However Beşiktaş Cola Turka reduced the point difference with Reese’s scoring effort and leveled the game in the 17th minute (29-29). From this moment on Polish Anwill came back and established a commanding superiority in the game .Playing with a high percentage of outside shots Dickel and Hajrik of visiting line up created serious difficulties for our defense. Most of their three-point shot attempts hit the mark and opened up a 10 point (32-22) advantage for Anwill in the last minute of the period. At the end of the first half the Polish team went to the locker room 44-32 in the lead. 
Both teams displayed a similar performance at beginning of the second half. While Beşiktaş Cola Turka tried to reduce the point gap with an increased tempo, Anwill responded by producing baskets from the painted area. Not being able to level the game, our Black& Whites started to play much more effectively in the last 3 minutes of the period. The extra points by Ostojiç under the opposing rim and 27th minute three pointer of Rees made the score 52-50 in favor of Anwill and increased Beşiktaş’s hopes for winning game. After leveling the game at 52 in the 28th minute, Black & Whites gained the lead thanks to Cevher Özer's free-throws (54-52). Beşiktaş Cola Turka protected its 2 point advantage in the last minute and finished the period 56-52 in front.
Our Black & White Team began the final period with Cevher Özer's three-point basket. When visiting Polish side couldn’t produce any point from their 3 consecutive attacks Beşiktaş increased its superiority to 6 points (61-55) in the 33rd minute of this exciting and hard fought game. The incredible rebounds impressive back-court defensive play of Beşiktaş Cola Turka in general and, extraordinary blocks by Brook Sales and Jamel Thomas gathered a lot of applause from the fans. Cevher Özer added another 2 special baskets to his critical points of the game and Black & Whites secured a 65-59 lead in the 37th minute. Our team held the control of the game in its hands and took advantage of the Polish side’s mistakes with easy baskets during the remaining time. Beşiktaş Cola Turka won the game 74-61 and posted its second victory in ULEB Cup.
