After the game against Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş Technical Director Jean Tigana stated that they had displayed a very good performance but had difficulty in scoring goals. He made these remarks regarding the game:

‘I think we played a very good game. We had two important chances to score that would win the game for us. However we are unable to make the finishing touches. Our game against Bursaspor on Friday is a very crucial. I hope my players will be motivated for that game as well. I believe that if they become motivated and desired like today we can win games for sure.
Most of the time we create valuable scoring chances but unfortunately we are unable convert them into goals. We have to gain confidence and take advantage of these opportunities.
Moreover, especially in our home games a certain type of pressure develops on our young players who are not used to these kinds of high level competitions that influence their performance.
However we should not forget that our devoted fans have a right to expect the maximum performance from us. I hope that we will show this maximum performance against Bursaspor on Friday.
