After the Dinamo Bucharest game our Technical Manager Jean Tigana organized a press meeting and made this explanation:

‘‘I am really sorry about the result. I believe, we played a good game. Despite of many scoring opportunities we could not make the finishing strike. I still do not understand why the referee cancelled our goal in the first half. I usually do not like to talk about the referees but this was an embarrassing game for the referee. For me, he was the one who deserved the red card. With the returning of Kleberson and Koray, we were quite effective in the mid-field and did not give away too many balls to our opponent like the previous games. However after Kleberson's injury our control was weakened in that area. Now, we will try to win our remaining two games in the group and wait for the results of our opponents.’’
