Beşiktaş Football Team lost its UEFA Cup Group B second game to Dinamo Bucharest (2-1) in Romania.
Played under difficult field condition due to heavy rain, both teams preferred a controlled game during the early part of the game. Eventually Beşiktaş gained the superiority in the mid-field and started creating important scoring chances in front of its opponent goal. Bobo's 13th minute goal was disallowed because of the offside call. Dinamo Bucharest went ahead (1-0) with Cristea's goal at the 20th minute of the game. Despite of showing a much better performance on the field Beşiktaş could not score in the first half.Starting the second half with more attacking power, Beşiktaş tied the game (1-1) by the brilliant goal of Bobo at the 58th minute. After the goal Black and Whites went after a second one but were unable to score and wasted easy chances. At the 85th minute of the game the referee Caferin showed the penalty spot following a tackle by Gökhan Zan to his opponent inside the 18 yard line.While Gökhan Zan was shown a direct red card for his tackle, Moti was sent off the game after his second yellow card for his ungentlemanly conduct to Gökhan Zan. Niculescu scored Dinamo's second goal from the penalty shot and made the score (2-1) for the home side. During the extra minutes of the game Margaritescu was also throne out of game from the Romanian team but Dinamo Bucharest still managed to win the game (2-1).
