Beşiktaş:0 Sakaryaspor:0

Beşiktaş played against Sakaryaspor at 11th week of the Turkcell Super League in BJK İnönü Stadium. The game ended in a goalless draw (0-0).

Since the date of the game coincided with October 29 Republican Day celebrations   BJK İnönü Stadium was decorated with Great Leader Atatürk posters, quotes and Turkish flags by the fans before the game. Beşiktaş came on the field with a banner which said ‘Long Live the Republic’ while fans opened up a giant poster written ‘Turkish Republic’ and started to sing the famous ’10th year March’ all together. The children subscribers of the ‘Young Eagle Magazine’ watched the game free from their reserved seats due to the Republican Day. Our youth teams also participated in a special ‘Republican Parade’ inside the stadium before the game.
At the 21st minute of the game our international star Nobre got injured and had to be substituted with Gökhan Güleç which event has disappointed the Beşiktaş fans. Sakaryaspor's scoring threat Cangele received red card after illegally tackling İbrahim Toraman by the referee Halis Özkahya at the 28th minute of the first half. With an extra man advantage our Black and Whites started to apply additional pressure on
visiting side’s defense but was unable to score in the first half.
Brazilian Ricardinho was added to Beşiktaş line up for Mehmet Sedef in the second half for more effective scoring power. This half our side totally controlled the game but couldn't beat Colombian goalie Martinez who made superb saves throughout the game. Bobo, Gökhan Güleç and Ricardinho all wasted valuable scoring chances. Fahri was substituted with İbrahim Akın at 62th minute of the game. Most of second half was virtually played inside the visiting Sakaryaspor 18 yard line but our Black and Whites could not change the score at the end of the game (0-0).
