Beşiktaş Cola Turka Men’s Basketball Team defeated Bursa representative Tofaş (75-72) in an exciting away match at the 3rd week of the Beko Basketball League.

Despite of Tofaş’s opening 3 pointer, Beşiktaş Cola Turka passed the first 5 minutes (15-7) in front thanks to the inside and outside points of Thomas and Cevher Özer. However, Tofaş took advantage of Beşiktaş’s poor defensive performance and leveled the score (22-22) at the end of the first period.
Beşiktaş started the second period with the 5 points of Arda Vekiloğlu and built up (27-24) lead but Tofaş went ahead (30-27) with Hakan Köseoğlu's 3 point shot 6 minutes to go in the period. The remaining minutes brought a real offensive struggle between the two teams and Beşiktaş went to dressing room (38-36) ahead with Brooks Sales points at the end of the first half.
In the third period Beşiktaş Cola Turka responded Rasheed’s impressive scoring performance with Arda and Thomas and stayed in front (51-41). However the game was stopped by the referees due to fan disturbances for 20 minutes. When the game resumed Beşiktaş somehow lost its attacking rhythm but closed the period in front with a score of (59-56).
Our Black and Whites went into the last period with more confidence and maintained a scoring advantage by the special points from Reese and Thomas. This period Beşiktaş produced a more effective defensive play including additional and crucial defensive rebounds. However Tofaş would not give up this thriller and made a last effort for a win by leveling the score at 68 with 1 minute and 25 seconds to go. However Beşiktaş Cola Turka was able to protect its lead from critical free throws and won this close but exciting game (75-72) in Bursa.
