Technical Director Tigana gave the following statement after the game with Tottenham.

Hotspur: “We could not solve our problem in the midfield. We ought to give rhythm but could not do that. We lost many one-on-one fights. I had said that we should have grabbed the second balls and the balls returned from the midfield. We could not do that and lost significantly. We had to play not in the center but particularly in the wings. We will take the necessary measures concerning that. From now on, we have to win one out of two games that we will play away. Our fans were the stars of the night. They should always go on like that; we will do our best to make them happy. We will work for their happiness.”
