Our Handboll Team defeated the visiting Çankaya Belediyesi (35-29) at the 5th week of Turkish Handball Leauge in Süleyman Seba Sport Center.

Starting with Valeri’s goal, Beşiktaş went ahead 5-4 thanks to Ramazan’s outstanding play in the first 10 minutes of this difficult game. The superb saves of our goalie İbrahim kept the attacking visiting side in check. Eventually, Beşiktaş took control of the game and extended it’s lead with outside scoring of Murat. The brilliant performance of Beşiktaş defense kept Ankara City side away from our goal line. At the 16th minute, the goal difference was up to 4 in favor of Beşiktaş (12-8) and back to back goals from the corners kept demoralizing the Çankaya side. During this period, Beşiktaş outplayed its opponent with additional scoring of Murat and Utku and went into dressing room (18-12) ahead at the end of half time.
During the start of the second half Çankaya closed the gap to (18-15) effective thanks to their strong and defensive performance. The poor showing of Beşiktaş forward line resulted in costly turnovers that wasted away many scoring chances. Due to simple mistakes, our team had only 4 goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half and looked very ineffective in front of their opponent’s goal line. However changing tactics Beşiktaş eventually got organized and virtually rained on Çankaya’s goal thanks to Ramazan, Murat and Utku power line without handling out away any scoring chances to Çankaya forwards during last 7 minutes. Widening it’s advantage to 6 goals near to the end they won this important game (35-29) and made it 4 out 4 with 8 valuable points.
