Our Football Team defected Gençlerbirliği (1-0) at the 9th week of Turkish Turkcell Super League in İstanbul. Our precious goal was scored at 64th minute of the hard fought game.

The full capacity crowd of BJK İnönü Stadium provided a non-stop support for their team throughout the game referred by Fırat Aydınus. There was a 1 minute silence for the commemoration of Kemal Kaya before the game who was the head of Turkish Football Federation Legal Department.
During the first 20 minutes Gençlerbirliği was more committed to attack but Beşiktaş eventually took control of the game and put immense pressure on the opposing side’s defense. The fast attacks originated from middle and especially right wing created a lot of serious scoring chances for Beşiktaş. However the opportunities in front of Ankara City side did not change the score and the first 45 minutes ended in a scoreless tie.
Having substituted Ricardinho and İbrahim Akın for Mehmet Sedef and Gökhan Güleç at 58th minute, Beşiktaş started the second halt with more courage and confidence. As a result, our Black and Whites went ahead (1-0) with a brilliant header by Gökhan Zan at 64th minute from Ricardinho’s corner kick.
After the goal, Ali Tandoğan was substituted for İbrahim Toraman at 73rd minute and in stead of pulling back to defense, Beşiktaş applied more pressure on visitors and tried to extend the lead. However there was no additional goal and the game ended (1-0) in favor of Beşiktaş. This victory moved us up to third place in division table.
