Although Beşiktaş Handball Team was defeated against Slovak MHK Kosice team (28-21) in the 2nd Round rematch in the European Cup Winners Cup, it advanced to the next round thanks to the score lead in the first game.

 
First half of the game was very contentious and wrapped up with a tie (10-10). Host team, being more effective in the second half, won the game 28-21, but Beşiktaş advanced to the 3rd Round thanks to its 11 point lead in the first game.
Lots will be drawn for the 3rd Round in the European Cup Winners Cup on October 10th, Tuesday, at Vienna, capital city of Austria.
