Beşiktaş Men’s Basketball Team posted a 66-44 victory over Oyak Renault, one of the new teams of the league, in BEKO Basketball League's first week.

Beşiktaş Cola Turka, consisted of Reese, Barış Özcan, Jamel Thomas, Cevher Özer, Djuro Ostojic as the first five, made a fast start into the game with Barış Özcan scoring a point, and produced points under the rim thanks to Djuro Ostojic. Oyak Renault, responding with Bennett, had difficulty scoring points as Beşiktaş Cola Turka began defending under the rim better. Beşiktaş Cola Turka was better in its offense after Brooks Sales joined the team against its opponent that could produce 6 points in the first 3 minutes, and did not have hard time to score baskets  thanks to the points earned from inside and wrapped up the first quarter 22-10 leading.
Black & White players, maintaining their defensive discipline in the second period also, began widening the gap thanks to the points scored one after another. Beşiktaş Cola Turka, earning points also from outside in the second quarter, completed the first half 39-21 leading after the points scored by Ostojic and Jamel Thomas.
Host team began the second half with the tempo of the first half, and the game got even more active after Levent Bilgin and Cevher Özer duo joined the game, and Beşiktaş Cola Turka increased its pressure on Oyak Renault defense and scored several points in a row. While Beşiktaş Cola Turka was able to ward off the attacks by yellow & black players, Oyak Renault’s efforts to reduce the gap were fruitless. Third quarter was finished with Black & White team being 50-36 in the lead.
As Beşiktaş Cola Turka began the last period with ease of mind due to having increased the gap, the fans backed up the players with their incredible support. Beşiktaş Cola Turka maintained its lead on its opponent since the first moment in the game and did not let the gap to be trimmed thanks to the points it scored from outside and excellent defense under the rim. Beşiktaş Cola Turka wrapped up the game 66-44 leading and began the season with a victory. 
While Jamel Thomas and Barış Özcan were the most scorer players of the game with 16 points each to their credit, other players scored as follows: Djuro Ostojic (11), Aubrey Reese (6), Cevher Özer (6), Brooks Sales (5), Levent Bilgin (3), Derya Yannier (2), and Arın Soğancıoğlu (1).
