Our Chairman Yıldırım Demirören addressed to our Community in the foreword of Beşiktaş Magazine August 2006 issue:

Dear Beşiktaş fans,
2006-2007 season started with new excitements and expectations. I wish a good season for all the teams in which we have higher aims and also hope that the tackle in the field sticks with fair-play and the one who deserves win the championship in this season.
We have given radical decisions while forming this year's team. We did not think of saving the day and formed the Beşiktaş of the future. Within this context, we have included young players that are thirsty for success, that will adopt the real Beşiktaş spirit and that will relieve the jersey in our Team. 
Our intention is to turn our Team directed under the supervision of our Technical Director Jean Tigana into a statue of stability and to ensure that they have the long lasting success.
I consider the victory of this young and faithful team over Galatasaray and get the Super Cup as the first indicator of our success to continue in 2006-2007 season. 
Dear Beşiktaş fans,
This new, young and faithful team will reach the targets with your support and enthusiasm. We must be able to stand together, hand to hand, shoulder to shoulder in good and bad days during the long lasting League and European Marathon. As I have always said, as long as Beşiktaş maintain close relations and be together, no other opponent shall survive before Beşiktaş.  
I expect our great Beşiktaş fans who have adopted being a Beşiktaş fan as a life philosophy to purchase their combined cards, to protect our licensed products and to fill up the grandstands of BJK İnönü Stadium with their families.
