BJK Council Board Meeting was Held

The 2nd Regular Council Board Meeting of Beşiktaş Gymnastics Club in 2006 was held.

Following submission of the agenda, activities of the Council Presidency Board were presented in the meeting. Reports of the Audit Board were submitted. Board of Directors provided information about its activities to the members.
Murat Aksu, Vice Chairman of Beşiktaş, stated that average age of the players transferred so far was 22-23, except the goal keeper, and added “We preferred to transfer young and star candidates rather than star players. We made the preliminary work of the transfers in January together with the Coach. We acted on forming a team that will be able to reflect the Beşiktaş spirit on the field”.
Aksu said as follows regarding Tümer Metin’s transfer to Fenerbahçe “I and the Chairman had a meeting with Tümer and made a deal in principle. He said ‘I would not play for any team but Beşiktaş. I may go to Europe due to military service’. We said “fine” and reached an agreement in principle. He asked 10 days from us to make his final decision. Then, the night before he was supposed to come to us, we heard that he had been having meetings with Fenerbahçe. Then we told Tümer that we had nothing to talk about with you, and sent him. We did not transfer Nobre for retaliation purposes. We had been discussing the issue since February; we liked his performance and transferred him. We are not in a position to transfer players by throwing money, as some do.”
