Our Chairman Yıldırım Demirören addressed to our Community in the foreword of Beşiktaş Magazine June-July 2006 issue:

 
Dear Beşiktaş Fans,
We wrapped up the 2005-2006 football season by winning the Turkish Cup, which we had longed for 8 years, with nothing to be ashamed of and well deservedly. I see the Turkish Cup, which we bring to our Museum for the sixth time, as a sign of our new successes and I wish one more time that it will be good for Community.
Dear Beşiktaş Fans,
We are working day and night with our technical staff to see a team on the field next season that plays by putting its heart into it, that never gives up and that is aware of its responsibilities arising from wearing the Beşiktaş jersey, just as the team that won the Turkish Cup against our archrival and eternal friend Fenerbahçe.
As a result of the scheduled efforts we have been doing for a long time in line with the opinions of our Technical Director Jean Tigana, we are adding young, fighter and ambitious players to our team who will scrabble for our Black & White jersey. Based on the aforesaid, we signed deals with Baki Mercimek, Fahri Tatan, Marcio Nobre and the goal keeper Vedran Runje. The work is in progress for other players that will strengthen our team and contribute to reaching the success that we all desire.
I believe that our Beşiktaş, which is always the most likely candidate to become the champion, will continue its upward trend that began with the Turkish Cup victory; and our team, which is getting stronger, will make our Community experience the joy that it deserves in the new season with the support of those who are in love with our Black & White colors.
Dear Beşiktaş Fans,
Our success in the amateur branches continued in this season also. While our chess team became the undefeated champion, our Women’s Basketball Team wrapped the season in the second place, our Wheelchair Basketball Team became the undefeated leader of the normal season and our Handball Team became the Turkish Cup Champion.
As I congratulate all our athletes and technical staff that reached the glory of representing our Country in Europe and are the source of pride for our Community, I also thank our administrator colleagues who are in charge of our branches for their hard work.
