Beşiktaş Cola Turka:86 Tekel:70

Beşiktaş Men’s Basketball Team hosted Tekel at BJK Akatlar Sports & Culture Complex at the first game of the quarter final series; posted an 86-70 victory and got 1-0 ahead in the series.

Both teams scored points in the beginning of the game.  Black & White team consisted of Tolga Tekinalp, Rodney Elliot, Michael Wright, Mithat Demirel and Kerem Tunçeri. Beşiktaş Men’s Basketball Team scored the first point of the game (a 3-pointer) by Elliot, and took the lead thanks to the points scored in the first few minutes. Beşiktaş grabbed a 10 point gap at 5th minute, maintained that for the rest of the period and wrapped up the period 28-15 in the lead.
Black & White team lost the ball several times in a row and lost its lead of the first quarter to Tekel. Reese stole two critical balls from the Black & White players, scored points and put Tekel 33-32 ahead. Tekel, performing great defense and not giving Beşiktaş the opportunity to score, took a 39-37 lead with one minute to play. With 30 seconds remaining, Kerem Tunçeri scored a 3-pointer and then Reese replied right away. Tekel went to the locker room 41-40 leading.
Both teams scored baskets in the beginning of the third period just as the first quarter. Beşiktaş got ahead thanks to baskets by Kerem Tunçeri; scored points in the foul shots performed in a row and finished the third period 66-53 in the lead.
Beşiktaş was the more effective team in the last quarter. Black & White team played better than Tekel and grabbed an 86-70 triumph in the first game of the series that began 0-0, and got 1-0 ahead.
