Beşiktaş Women’s Basketball Team hosted Fenerbahçe at BJK Akatlar Sports & Culture Hall in the third game of the play off final series; posted a 69-65 triumph over its rival and took a 2-1 lead in the series.

Black & White players began the third game of the final series with Nyree Roberts, Jaclyn Johnson, Yasemin Horasan, Laine Selwyn and Şebnem Kimyacıoğlu. Our team grabbed the first ball, attacked the rival rim and scored the first point in the game through the free throw performed by Yasemin Horasan. Our Ladies performed well under the rim against the attacks by Fenerbahçe and got in the 5-0 lead at 3rd minute. But, our rival took advantage of the series of balls lost by our team, took the lead for the first time at 6th minute when White scored a basket (11-9). Black & White players played the game they wanted under the rim and scored easy points. Our team replied the three points scored by Powell by Müjde Yüksel and completed the first period 22-17 leading.

Our Ladies began the second quarter with the three points by Selwyn but missed the opportunity to widen the gap due to bad performance of the same player in free throws. Yellow & Navy colored team began rising up thanks to White - Şaziye duo and trimmed the gap by scoring out of the frequent foul shots. Fenerbahçe was in 34-31 lead after the 3-pointer by Şaziye. Fenerbahçe decreased the gap to 1 point when Powell scored points out of foul shots. Nilay Yiğit did not have difficulty scoring point with the ball that Müjde lost at the last 7th second of the game. The first half ended with our Team 37-35 leading. 
Both teams had difficulties in offense and scoring at the beginning of the second half. Our team took the lead at 25th minute of the game (39-37); But, our players could not stop White’s basket, and Fenerbahçe leveled the score at 26th minute (39-39). Our Ladies could not stop Powell scoring under the rim and got behind (41-39) 1 minute after the tie. Even though the Black & White team scored a 3-pointer thanks to Gülşah with seconds to go in the 3rd period, the 3rd period ended 49-44 since they could not stop White’s basketball.
Our team, continuing the problems in offense in the last period of the game, could not stop the gap to go up 8 points (44-52) at 32nd minute. Our Ladies were bad in offense but were effective in defense and stopped their rivals and prevented increase in the margin. They scored 2 points and leveled the score (52-52) at 33rd minute thanks to foul shots by Johnson.  Rival team was in 56-54 lead with 5 minutes remaining. Even though our team was behind, they managed to prevent the rival to increase the gap and leveled the score again (56-56) at 36th minute thanks to Nihan. Our Ladies, playing under constant cheers of our fans, took a 59-56 lead at 37th minute thanks to 3-pointers by Selwyn and Gülşah. Gülşah scored 3-pointers for our team in the last few minutes. Beşiktaş won the game (69-65) and took the lead in the series (2-1).
