Beşiktaş Football Team grabbed a 2-0 victory over Gaziantepspor in the semi-final rematch of the Fortis Turkish Cup. Gökhan Güleç (in extension time of the first half) and Bobo (at 63rd minute) scored the goals for Beşiktaş.
The game was played at BJK İnönü Stadium and administered by Çetin Maksut Sarıgül (referee). Beşiktaş had the advantage of winning the first game that was played at Gaziantep (3-1).Black & White team made a fast start into the game. The ball kicked by Sergen Yalçın (at 4th minute) and Gökhan Güleç (at 16th minute) returned from the goal post. Beşiktaş performed a very forward play but was unlucky with the last kicks. Ahmed Hassan fired the ball to the goal at 34th minute but that hit the side post and went out. Ahmed Hassan passed the ball to Gökhan Güleç by a headshot, and Gökhan kicked the ball into the goal, putting Beşiktaş 1-0 ahead in extension time of the first half.
Beşiktaş again made a forward start into the second half and created goal opportunities thanks to Sergen and Mehmet Sedef. Mehmet’s hard kick again hit the goal post and went out at 54th minute. This was the 4th goal attempt with ball hitting the post. Bobo, the young player from Brazil, who received a pass from Sergen at 63rd minute found a fine opportunity and rolled the ball home, putting Beşiktaş 2-0 ahead. At 82nd minute, Kenan’s strike hit the goal post, came back and met Ahmed Hassan who was in front of the goal. Even though the ball kicked by the Egyptian player hit the net, the referee whistled for off-side and cancelled the goal. There were no more goals scored in the remaining minutes and the game was wrapped up with Beşiktaş 2-0 leading. Beşiktaş made the finals with this result.
