Fenerbahçe:88 Beşiktaş Cola Turka:73

In the most important game of the Turkish Basketball League, Beşiktaş Men’s Basketball Team played against Fenerbahçe and wrapped up the game 88-73 tracking.

Black & White team began the giant derby game with Erdem Türetken, Kimani Ffriend, Michael Wright, Kerem Tunçeri and Tyrone Ellis. Beşiktaş grabbed the first ball in the game and earned the first point in the derby thanks to the attack developed by Kerem Tunçeri and the basket scored by Michael Wright. Fenerbahçe scored points by Damir Mrsic’s 3-pointers and was 13-4 in the lead by the end of 4th minute. Fenerbahçe was 8 ahead with one minute to play in the first period and the first quarter ended with yellow & navy colored team leading 22-14.
Beşiktaş began the second period with a three pointer by Barış Özcan; but was shocked with the way Kerem Tunçeri was injured at 11th minute. He was elbow hit in the eye, fainted briefly and had to leave the court on a stretcher. Black & White team continued with Mithat Demirel after that minute but could not score the much desired points against its rival. Beşiktaş, returning empty handed from its attacks and losing balls one after another, wrapped up the half 43-30 tracking.
Hosting team made a fast start into the second half also. Fenerbahçe was in 51-37 lead at 25th minute thanks to Stevenson and increased the gap up to 16 points thanks to the three pointer scored by the same player. Beşiktaş could not score the points that it had been wanting since the beginning of the game. Kimani Ffriend was not successful in the last shots and the Black & White players had difficulty in scoring points. Beşiktaş was unable to stop Fenerbahçe at defense and returned empty handed from its attacks. Yellow & Navy team finished the third period 64-48 leading.
Fenerbahçe started the last period with Mrsic’s baskets and displayed a superior performance in rebounds. Yellow & Navy team scored points thanks to Rasim Başak, in addition to Mrsic and Stevenson. Beşiktaş left the Hall 88-73 tracking at the end of the game.
