Beşiktaş Wheelchair Basketball Team posted a 78-66 triumph over İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, which is one of the candidates for the championship.

Both teams performed hard defense as they began the game. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality tried to score by fast attacks but was not able to do that; whereas the Black & White team scored points, took control of the game and wrapped up the first period 25-17 in the lead. The Black & White players were effective in the first few minutes of the second period but made simple errors in its defense and thus the team from İzmir trimmed the gap. Beşiktaş closed the first half with a 4 points difference (38-34).  
The Black & White players started the second half like a storm. Widening the gap thanks to the points scored in a row by Murat Emrak, Beşiktaş had a 10 point lead (62-52) by the end of the period.
The last quarter was stressful for both teams. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality could not score points from inside but decreased the deficit thanks to the points scored from outside. Beşiktaş softened up its rival’s defense in the last few minutes thanks to Murat Emrak, Mithat Çetin and Mehmet Akın trio, and wrapped up the game 78-66 leading.
Following this result, Beşiktaş Wheelchair Basketball Team had a great advantage before a possible matching with its rival at the play offs. Since the Black & White team defeated its rival in the first half of the season, it will begin the play offs 1-0 ahead and will play first game of the play offs at home.
