Fighting for the championship in the Turkish Basketball League, Beşiktaş Men’s Basketball Team hosted Pınar Karşıyaka at BJK Akatlar Sports & Culture Complex at 23rd week of the league and posted a 87-68 victory over its rival.

A moment of silence was observed for 1 minute at BJK Akatlar Sports & Culture Complex before the game began for one of our ex Presidents Ekrem Amaç whose funeral ceremony was held today. Our Black & White players dominated the game over its rival in the first quarter and wrapped up the period 27-15 leading.
It was again our Men’s Basketball Team that took control of the game in the second period also. Our team, which did not slow down the tempo in the game and fought very hard to widen the gap, increased the deficit to 14 points at 14th minute (37-23). Our team went to the locker room 52-33 leading against its opponent that closed its defense at the eleventh hour.
Our Black & White players did not slow down the tempo in the game in the second half of the game. Our team tried to increase the margin with Captain Tolga Tekinalp, who entered the game in the third period, but could not score points in the first few minutes against its rival that completely blocked its defense. The team from Aegean tried to score points with Murat Güler but could not pass our successful performance at defense and the third quarter ended with our 72-46 lead.
Kicking off the last quarter with the comfortable cushion thanks to the score, our team kept up its effective game in this part also. Our Black & White players scored a total of 15 points in this quarter in which younger players also had a chance to show their performance. Our Black & White players posted a 87-68 triumph in the game against Pınar Karşıyaka, which was one of the critical handicaps on the way to championship, at the end of 40 minute fight.
