Beşiktaş Men’s Basketball Team posted a 63-62 triumph over strong Ülkerspor in 22nd week of the league. The game was played at Abdi İpekçi Sports Hall. Since the Black & White players defeated the Orange & Green colored rivals in the first half of the league, they will start a possible play-off game with a 1-0 lead and have home field advantage. 

Both teams made bad offense and scored no points in the first 2 minutes of the game. Beşiktaş Cola Turka attacked fast and delivered the ball to Wright. Black & White team grabbed a 9-3 lead at 6th minute thanks to points scored by him. Even though Ülkerspor tried to bring a balance into the game through baskets scored by Mirsad under the hoop, Black & White team finished the first period 20-11 ahead thanks to 11 points scored by Wright, and Kerem. 
Beşiktaş Cola Turka increased the gap to 11 points at 12th minute in the second period thanks to the baskets scored by Kimani Ffriend under the rim (24-13), but had difficulty stopping Gulyas under the rim. Orange & Green players took advantage of the balls lost under the rim thanks to Ömer, and took the lead in the last minute of the first half thanks to Haislip (33-32). Black & White team, following the basket scored by Kerem, scored the ball that Ellis grabbed and Wright threw, and wrapped up the first half 36-33 leading.
Black & White team began the second half under great support of the fans, maintained its lead thanks to 3-pointers by Mithat and Ellis, and was in 47-39 lead at 26th minute. Beşiktaş Cola Turka had problems in defense after that minute, lost its balance due to series of fouls made by Nedim and could not score any points in 3 minutes. Ülkerspor took good advantage of that with Trapagnier and trimmed the gap to 1 point (46-47) at 29th minute. The 3rd period was completed with Beşiktaş Cola Turka in the lead (49-46).
Beşiktaş Cola Turka made a good start into the last period and increased the gap to 9 points at 33rd minute after Barış’s basket (50-59). Making a good defense after that moment, Ülkerspor received 2 baskets in its hoop in 5 minutes, but decreased the deficit down to 2 points (59-61) at 38th minute after Cüneyt’s basket. Ülkerspor took the lead (62-61) thanks to Gulyas’ basket scored under the rim with 25 seconds to play. Black & White players responded with a foul shot by Wright with 6.4 seconds remaining, took the lead and won the game (63-62).
Black & White players had defeated the Orange & Green colored rivals in the first half of the league and thus took a 1-0 lead in a possible play-off game and had home field advantage.  Beşiktaş Cola Turka’s victory ended Ülkerspor’s series of triumphs in the last 14 games and the team succeeded defeating another giant of the league after Efes Pilsen in both games of the league.
