Beşiktaş Football Team beat Kayserispor 2-0 in the Fortis Cup of Turkey Quarter Final first game by goals from Gökhan Güleç in 65th and Bobo in 77th minutes.
Zafer Önder İpek refereed the game that took place in BJK İnönü Stadium. Both teams struggled to generate positions in the first half of the game. Goal Keeper Oscar Cordoba of Black and Whites was acclaimed due to his successful interventions during the critical periods of the game. The first 45 minutes that was merely a midfield encounter had been concluded with a score of 0-0.Fatih of Kayserispor blocked Mustafa Doğan’s header at the goal line just in the beginning of the second half. Whereas Gökhan Güleç’s shot was deflected by Johnson and missed the goal narrowly. Oscar Cordoba was again very successful in stopping Kayserispor’s attacks. Gökhan Güleç who touched Ahmed Hassan’s beautiful pass right away scored Beşiktaş’s goal in 65th minute and brought the score to 1-0. Bobo who tipped Gökhan Güleç’s kick towards the penalty area in front of the goal increased the deficit to two in the 77th minute (2-0). Çağdaş Atan who was already booked a yellow card by the referee Zafer Önder İpek in the 60th minute was ejected due to having booked the second yellow card with 4 minutes left in the game. The game was concluded with Beşiktaş’s victory of 2-0.
The return leg of this game is going to be played on March 21st, Tuesday 20:00 in Kayseri Atatürk Stadium.
