Beşiktaş Women’s Basketball Team, which was the visitor side in the game against İstanbul University Sport Club in 18th week of Turkish Women’s Basketball League, recorded a 76-59 victory.

Black & White team began with the first five consisting of Yasemin Horasan, Şebnem Kimyacıoğlu, Jacklyn Johnson, Laine Selwyn and Nyree Roberts to the game played at Avcılar Campus of İstanbul University. Both teams did not allow their rivals to score by the hard defense they performed in the first few minutes of the game. Host team took control of the game in the first part of the first quarter. While Ladies of Beşiktaş could not score points at the rival’s hoop in the first three minutes, İstanbul University score 5 points. Green & Yellow players had a great lead on the defense rebounds also and were 8-4 in the lead in the beginning of 5th minute. While the Black & White team was not able to form game under the hoop, İstanbul University increased the gap to 9 points in the 7th minute thanks to the points scored one after another by its players (15-6). Beşiktaş, unable to score at the hoop in this part of the game, was even more reserve in the first 10 minutes. With 48 seconds remaining, 5 points scored by Nihan Anaz tied the score at 15-15 as the quarter ended.
Beşiktaş, playing better in the second period compared to the first quarter, went to the locker room 34-27 in the lead.
Host İstanbul University was more ambitious in the second half; but Ladies of Beşiktaş maintained the lead in the game and wrapped up the third quarter with a 12 points gap and a 50-38 lead.
 
Black & White players took control of the game thoroughly in the last part and slowed down the tempo in the game. Beşiktaş, stopping fast attack trials of İstanbul University, pulled a 76-59 victory in the game.
