Beşiktaş Technical Director Jean Tigana said that they just missed a victory, in the press conference that he organized after the game, and added that both the substitute’s cabin and he were hit by the foreign materials thrown into the field.  

“I think it was a good game. We played against one of the strongest teams in the league. We knew very well the strengths of our opponent. Frankly, when I look at the game in overall, I think that we should have won it. I usually do not like to make statements about referees but the referees in this game used their discretionary rights in favor of the rival team in each case, a fact seen by everyone. The players that I selected to begin the game with and the changes I made during the game were results of my decisions entirely. Looking back into the game, I believe I was right in doing what I did.
I have to tell that there are some unpleasant incidents taking place on the field that are not related to football. Unfortunately foreign materials were thrown from the grandstands throughout the game. Some of them hit me and the substitute’s cabin. Fans should know that such behaviors never bring any benefits for them. Football is always played in the field.
As for Ahmet Hassan issue, the penalty he was given is a result of application of a system. Such penalties intend to prevent performance of similar mistakes in the future. 
Our team has been getting into shape recently. Koray and Gökhan Zan played in defense together today for the second time. We have been face to face with many injuries and disciplinary issues   since I took the position here; it is a fact that I had difficulty forming a team from time to time.
