Beşiktaş Men’s Basketball Team was defeated against İstanbul Tekelspor at the 19th week of Turkish Basketball League (79-71).

The game began with baskets scored by both teams but as the tempo of the game increased Beşiktaş gradually began taking control of the game. Beşiktaş was effective thanks to points scored by Ffriend, Ellis and Mithat, and was 23-14 in the lead by the end of the 1st period.
The host team took advantage of the Black & White players, who were slow at the beginning of the second period and returned empty-handed from 3 attacks in a row, and trimmed the gap down to 2 points (25-23) within 13 minutes thanks particularly to Tufan and Nedim. Tufan scored a 3-pointer with 40 seconds to play and put İstanbul Tekelspor 39-37 ahead. İstanbul Tekelspor wrapped up the first half 42-39 leading thanks to the 3-pointer by Umut.
Beşiktaş began the second half with great control in order to have the lead in score again, which Beşiktaş had in most part of the first half, took the lead (50-48) with a basket scored by Wright from under the rim. The superiority in score kept on changing between the two teams in these moments, and the Black & White team carried a 56-55 lead into the last quarter thanks to effective performance by Wright.
Beşiktaş scored the first basket of the last period of the game with Erdem at the 32nd minute and took the lead (58-55). Since Beşiktaş could not score for about 4 minutes after that moment, İstanbul Tekelspor scored 12 points against 0 by Beşiktaş and took a 67-58 lead in the game. The Black Eagle left the courts 79-71 tracking at the end of the game.
