Beşiktaş Men’s Volleyball Team lost against its archrival Fenerbahçe in the first game of the 2nd stage of Volleyball Men’s League (3-1). The game was played at BJK Akatlar Sports & Culture Complex.
The game began with the goal scored by Burak from Fenerbahçe. Fenerbahçe, which looked in control of the game in the first part, was 8-6 in the lead in the first technical break thanks to the points scored by Vova. Even though Fenerbahçe was in 14-10 lead in the middle of the game, Beşiktaş trimmed the deficit thanks to successful performance of Hakan. Fenerbahçe was tracking for a moment due to outs performed in a row in the last part of the first set. Despite Black & White team was leading over its rival at one point, it could not take advantage of that situation and wrapped up the first set 25-21 tracking.Beşiktaş was effective in the first few minutes of the second set. Nyrka put the host team 5-4 ahead thanks to his great performance. Later in the game, on the other hand, Fenerbahçe took control of the game. Yellow & Navy team, scoring points by spikes and blocks thanks to Volkan and Can duo, completed the second technical break with a 16-15 lead. Fenerbahçe, scoring points in a row in the last part of the game, wrapped up the set 25-19 leading.
It was very contentious throughout the game and the third set was also very thrilling. Fenerbahçe scored points by Kryvets in this set and was in the lead in both technical breaks. Beşiktaş, keeping the score in balance thanks to Nyraka, made the score 22-21 later in the game. Black & White players won the set (26-24) and posted a 2-1 lead.
On the other hand, Fenerbahçe continued its effective performance in the fourth set and widened the deficit. Fenerbahçe, scoring points thanks to services of Vova, grabbed a 25-12 lead in this set and 3-1 victory in the game
