Our Chairman Yıldırım Demirören addressed to our Community in the foreword of February 2006 issue of Beşiktaş Journal:

Dear Beşiktaş Fans,
 
Greatest characteristic which makes Beşiktaş superior over other clubs is our culture that we have and the values that we keep alive. We have a tradition that respects hard work, emphasizes honesty and having what is deserved. We have championships in our past that everyone recognizes and have become legendary, rather than questioned successes or championships. Therefore being a Beşiktaş fan represents a rightful honor stemming from walking tall.    
Our most fundamental aim is to add new championships to that rightful honor and Beşiktaş’s past. What I would like from our Community, in particular from our fans, to reach that goal in football, as we have achieved in other branches, is to support our Football Team with unity and cooperation; because, we have to be patient and give a chance to the team that is fighting. Therefore, no one should doubt that we, as the management, will continue to realize all kinds of new progresses.
What makes us “us” and privileged, together with honesty, virtue and pride, is our love for Beşiktaş which will never abandon us and which is our greatest drive in reaching the success.
Beşiktaş, just like a grand plane tree that goes up towards the sky with the power it gets from its strong roots, will live forever walking tall and with all its glory.
