Beşiktaş Football Team posted a 3-2 victory over the German team Werder Bremen in the opening game of Efes Pilsen Cup 5 Tournament, with 3 superb goals scored by Ailton.

The game began with attacks by both teams; Çağdaş Atan prevented a definite goal by stopping the ball at the goal line when Klasnic performed a head-shot. A mistake made by the opponent team brought Ailton face to face with the goal keeper. Even though the ball kicked by Ailton passed the goal keeper, Fahrenhorst ran down and made up for his friend’s mistake.
The first half of the game ended 0-0 and Beşiktaş, making a good start into the second half, caught its opponent off-guard in a sudden attack at 54th minute. Ailton, being face to face with the goal keeper, scored a goal and put Beşiktaş 1-0 ahead. Werder Bremen, thanks to Klasnic’s goal 2 minutes after that goal, tied the score (1-1). Ailton, who passed his opponents and entered the penalty zone at 60th minute, kicked the ball but it hit the side net. Brazilian player was face to face with the goal keeper 1 minute after and this time scored a goal and changed the score to 2-1. When Reinke, who was successful in Ailton’s pass over at 73rd minute, could not stop the Brazilian player at 76th minute, Beşiktaş took the lead (3-1). Even though the German team reduced the deficit down to 1 after Klose scored a goal at 86th minute, Beşiktaş grabbed a 3-2 victory over its opponent since there was not any other goal scored in the remaining part of the game, and thus Beşiktaş made the finals.
