The Beşiktaş Women’s Basketball Team, in the FIBA European Cup second round revenge match at the BJK Akatlar Sports and Culture Complex grabbed a 71-61 victory over the ZKK team from Zagreb, Croatia, rose to the 3rd round  and won a place among Europe’s top 16 teams.

After the first match, which had ended in a tie of 71-71, Beşiktaş made a strong start and finished the first period 19-14.  Thanks to the Yasemin Horasan and Johnson’s baskets, the Black and White team widened the gap.  The first period’s effective performance was followed up in the second period and Beşiktaş finished ahead 37-25. 
With Roberts' baskets at the opposition rim, the Black and White team had no problem to end up the third period by widening the gap to 24 points (52-48) Croatian representative could only score 11 points against Beşiktaş which had a brilliant performance in its defense and ended the period 54-36 leading.
In the last period of this great game, Beşiktaş was victorious against ZKK Croatia Zagreb 71-61, and thus rose to the third round of the FIBA European Cup as one of Europe’s first 16 teams.
The Black and White Team’s third round competitor will be France’s ESB Lille Metropole team.  Beşiktaş will play the first of the away matches on 12th January, and the revenge meeting will be the 19th of January at the BJK Akatlar Sports and Culture Complex.
